Overall: Such a great film! I never realized that dogs can develop PTSD or any behavioral issues like humans can (perhaps it just went over my head, I don’t know). I also have to disclose that I love German Shepards as well. It was an interesting look into war canine veterans and how they adapt to “civilian” life. The side story was sort of just there, but I thought the bulk of the film was centered on the relationship between the younger brother and the dog – which in hindsight, I think it should’ve been the point of the film altogether (instead of the “side plot”).
