Overall: Solid film! It was strange for me and the MI films because I watched them starting with the 3rd one first, then watched the first and second. And I didn’t particularly like the first and second. From the third film and forward, I’ve truly loved the MI films. I think Tom Cruise does an exceptional job as Ethan Hunt. Rogue Nation was sort of hard to follow at first—but as the film progressed, you slowly begin to piece it together (all the characters, plots, etc.). There’s always a nice balance between action and comedy, character development and plot progression. As much as I love these films and would love to see them continue their success—it’d also be nice to see them round it out and finish it on the next film (if one is even in the process or talks of being made). The one question I had throughout the entire film—and perhaps I missed/forgot something from the previous film, but… what happened to Ethan’s wife? I thought they were still together, but spent time apart to protect her from potential threats…or something along those lines. In any case though, it was a solid film and definitely recommend.
