American Hustle (2013)

Starring: Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper 

Plot: A con man, Irving Rosenfeld (Bale), and his partner, Sydney Prosser (Adams) are forced to work with an FBI agent, Richie DiMaso (Cooper) to try an take down Mayor Carmine Polito (Renner) in a huge Jersey powerbroker/mafia world. Rosenfeld’s wife, Rosalyn (Lawrence) is the wild card and threatens their entire con-mafia world.

Rating: 2/10 

Overall: I honestly had a hard time staying awake during this film. While I know it’s based on a true story, and actually had a decent plot, it lacked conflict (action!). It was all conversations, and yes, there were some really good parts, but definitely not enough for the length of the film and for what the film was about. SNOOZE.
