White House Down (2013)

Starring: Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clark, Richard Jenkins, James Woods, Joey King

Plot: The White House is attacked by a team of paramilitary men and led by a secret service officer, Cale (Tatum)—whose dream of being a secret service agent—finds himself hostage while on a tour with his daughter (King) and left to protect the President (Foxx).

Rating: 2/10

Overall: Better than Olympus Has Fallen, but still FAR from realistic. Foxx’s performance was amateur, especially as a US President. Gyllenhaal’s role—though seemingly insignificant—was well-executed. These plots of White House takeovers is overwhelmingly absurd and poorly written/directed. Perhaps it could be my assumption (and HOPE) that the White House is so unprepared, unorganized and hands down STUPID if ever attacked. The ending is especially stupid, poorly written and cringe-worthy.
