Review: Okay, to be completely honest, this movie wasn’t terrible. I simply gave it a 5 because I didn’t know what to make of it. I admire Harmony Korine and love his approach to film. This film specifically, I tried to view with an open mind. With that being said, I liked the subtle undertones of the theme of finding oneself. However, like I said, I really didn’t know what to think or say about this film. I feel like as a general viewer, I hated it–everything you’d expect in a Spring Break film. BUT, given that I know a little about Harmony Korine and his ways of approaching film, I kept searching for an underlying message or something. So I guess my overall consensus was: good, not great.
