The Heat (2013)

Starring: Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Michael McDonald, Demián Bichir

Plot: An FBI agent, Ashburn (Bullock), is sent to Boston to work with a local cop, Mullins (McCarthy), to bring down a drug lord. However, both have drastically different approaches to law enforcement, and neither have ever had a partner before.

Overall: 10/10

Review: Absolutely hilarious! I don’t think I’ve ever sat through an entire movie laughing. Even the sentimental parts throughout the film were witty. I definitely recommend this! Bullock plays the perfect uptight FBI agent (much like her character from The Proposal), and McCarthy plays the hardass, uncensored cop (similar to her character from Bridesmaids), and together they made the most comical pair. The plot is kind of weak, the typical drug dealer, action-comedy, predictable ending type of film. But with the amount of humor, I think it’s still worth it and makes up for the weak plotline.
