21 & Over (2013)

Starring: Miles Teller, Skylar Astin, Justin Chon, Sarah Wright

Plot: Two friends, Casey (Astin) and Miller (Teller), take their friend, Jeff Chang (Chon) out to celebrate his 21st birthday. The only catch is that the next morning, he has an interview for med school. The three venture out, drink excessively and find themselves in a handful of awkwardly hilarious situations throughout the night.

Overall: 9/10

Review: Pretty hilarious. Definitely don’t recommend watching it with the parents. There are a lot of Asian jokes (I am Asian, and I laughed hysterically at the Asian jokes), so I guess if you’re Asian or find racial jokes incredibly offensive, this might not be the film for you. However, if you have a decent sense of humor and like a surprisingly entertaining adventure of three college buddies getting wasted, you’ll love it. I think there’s a good amount of sentimental scenes while still keeping it humorous and light.
